Though Shenzhen is a land-scarce city, the municipal government has granted Shenzhen Technology University 253 hectares of land on which to build a permanent campus. In accordance with the modern university building design concept, with full respect for the nature, the campus will be built into a “University in the Air” with ecological landscape corridors.

Shenzhen Technology University strives to collaborate with German universities of applied sciences which have long been established upon technological achievements since the Industrial Revolution in Europe. As a newly-established university focusing on applied sciences, Shenzhen Technology University has introduced into its educational system the advanced concepts and teaching systems from countries like Germany and Switzerland which are highly developed in applied science education.
